For those of you who love your jewelry, learn how to make "displays" to help organize your pieces!

I'm teaching a 2 hour workshop that will provide you with all of the necessary items to make your own unique jewelry displays. Choose between one for earrings or one for necklaces, or make both! Class is only $25 plus cost of supplies (around $40, unless you bring your own). I have space for 4 more people, so let me know if you are interested.

One class will be offered Tuesday, September 28, from 6-8, and another class will be offered Saturday, October 2, from 10-noon.

Acrylic Painting classes

Hey East Nashville, I'm back checking to see if anyone in the neighborhood is interested in participating in a 4 week acryllic painting class. It would most likely be Wednesdays, from about 5:30-6:30 (or 6-7 if that's better for people) and would be taught out of my home. I have room for 4-6 people, and the cost would be $100 plus cost of supplies. Payment is due at the first lesson. You would be creating at least 4 paintings during this month of lessons. Classes would start Wednesday, September 29th.

Art Birthday Parties

Do you have a child with a birthday coming up? Are you reaching for ideas of what to do? Does your child love to make things? I have the answer! I've been an elementary and high school art teacher, and if there is one thing I know how to do, it's teaching fun art projects to kids. I would be happy to come to your child's birthday party and bring a project for your child and friends to work on. Ideas are: jewelry making, clay sculptures, painting, sock animals, felties, etc. Fees would be determined by the type of materials I would provide and the number of your child's friends attending. Sock Animals: August 28th

I will be offering a sock animal workshop from 1-5 on Saturday, August 28th from my home in East Nashville. This is a small, hands on workshop and am only offering 4 spots. The workshop will cost $60 but will include materials to create 3 sock animals of your choice. Ages 10-110 are welcome! 8/9 Watercolor Class

Tonight we will be learning about color, and color schemes as well as different watercolor painting techniques! Bring your color wheels and also a cloth to use to dry your brush!

Watercolor Classes starting August 2nd

I will be holding a 5 week watercolor class in August, starting Monday, the 2nd through the 30th. Classes will be from 6:30-7:30 every Monday.
This is a beginning watercolor class, so all you need to know how to do is write your name :).
The class costs $75 for the 5 weeks, and payment is due at the first meeting. You may also choose whether to buy your own supplies or if you'd like me to get them for you. If you would like me to get your supplies, that will be an additional $75, and you will take everything home with you at the end of the class. If you would like to get your own supplies, I will be happy to get you a list of what you will need to get from Plaza art supply. That way you can determine the quality of brushes, paints and paper you'd like to get.
I'm very excited about this class! I think it's going to be great!

Classes

I wanted to start a blog so that I can get consistent information to as many people that are interested in taking art lessons. I've recently realized there is a major interest in the neighborhood to learn about art, and I am so excited to be able to offer my knowledge to those who want to learn! Personally, I love painting and embroidering, but thanks to my degree in fine arts, I can teach you about drawing, acrylic painting, watercolors, jewelry/metals, clay and screen printing.

I currently give private lessons, but occasionally will be offering group lessons as well. I am willing to teach all age groups, and I teach out of my home, which is in East Nashville.
